Ballad of the Snowman and the Heat
Ballad of the Snowman and the Heat
In the morning I woke to a
Unexpected surprise.
The pristine white blanket of snow
Covered woodland outside.
I race down the hard wooden steps,
And out the cold front door.
I stare out into wonderland,
Excitement reaches my core.
Recalling friendship of snowmen past,
I start to build you.
Rekindling the memories,
A friendship to debut.
One by one, I construct you out,
One, two, three, you’re alive!
The Déjà vu overcomes me.
Our past kinship survives.
That night I slept well contented.
I awake with the sunrise.
Birds are tweeting melodic tunes,
Again, sun cause early demise.
