Follow the leader, but not too close, just in case they fall.

Once upon a time in a far away land
A girl laid eyes on a handsome man
She cast all her fears of betrayal and lust
And gave to this man her heart made of dust
She said "oh kind sir, if you'll just be true,
I know that this heart can belong to you."
Now she vowed to herself that as soon as she could
She'd run from the devil, that man, oh she would
But something had bound her, had stolen her heart
So she simply asked for him to play his part.
He looked at her calmly, but spoke not a word
For now this young girl could know what she heard.
She knew of mistakes she'd numbered like sand
And knew she'd just become another for her man
If only she could go with all but a scratch
But freedom she knew was not ready to hatch-
It stayed in its comfort and promised her no joy
No hope for the future, she was only a toy;
A toy that had lost all its glimmer and shine
She was a girl who had screwed up her time.
Now searching for truth from her closest friends
She sees all the lies and who they choose to defend
Understanding is not of her favorite games
But she has to play it because she is insane-
Or at least she believes this 'cause that's what they said
And now she is haunted with thoughts in her head.
How did she go from a whole-hearted friend
To a girl that not even her friends will befriend?

Once upon a time in a land far away
Prince charming sets out to rescue the day
Not knowing of who his princess will be
He trusts in his gut and starts looking for she.
When he comes to a road that has not been crossed
He pulls out his treasure and reaches across…
He knows that his prize deserves only the best-
But wouldn't she rather be loved than deemed less?
For she is a prize that no one can see
And he is determined to show that to thee.
So passing away his prize horse and his crown
He continues towards her on forbidden ground.
If only he could reach her at just the right time
He knows that she'll come and they will be fine.
But once his sweet dame is noticed by fate
They choose to bestow upon her a new mate
An unhandsome man who deserves just to rot
Now our prince charming must be who he's not;
He must show his beloved that he she deserves.
But with her condition she seems undisturbed,
For she is with child from her new wretched man…
And she does not know of her prince's promised land.
“If only she will see”, he says, “at just the right time-
That I will always love her and welcome her to be mine”

Life is perfect until you sit back and realize how boring it is without risks.

Great format! I love it!
