The Paper
The Paper
“You have one week, she told me,
Don’t procrastinate.”
“It will be ready, I told her,
I just need to contemplate.”
I sat at my desk,
Pencil in hand,
“I’ll write it tomorrow, I thought,
And it will be grand.”
I sat at my desk,
Pencil in hand,
“I’ll write it tomorrow, I thought,
I got it all planned.”
The seventh day came to fast,
Now all my time has passed.
“Where is your paper?” she asked me.
“I’ll bring it tomorrow,
I promise, let me fix the past.”
“I told you not to procrastinate,
But now it’s to late,
Detentions tomorrow,
Go celebrate.”
