The Day He Loved Me
I call across the room
To a peer of mine
I ask him how he's doing
He says he is just fine
I wanted him to ask me
How I truly felt
And maybe one day later
I'd find him when he knelt
But here I'm in the classroom
Dreaming about the future
While the science teacher
Is talking about our nature
He look acroos the room
Gazing strong with his blue eyes
And I hoped that my own
Weren't wearing a disguise
I wanted him to read me like a book
And feel about me the same way
I couldn't help but wonder
If he knew it to this day
Then my nudged me
And handed me a note that read
"I love you, do you love me
Check yes or no"
