You were headed to Boston.
Or at least that's what you said.
And when I thought I'd forget,
I began to miss you instead.
We never actually got along.
But that never stopped us it seemed.
We'd still glance at each other.
And sometimes we'd just gleam.

You were headed to Boston.
And you left your guitar behind.
Well, I stole it last night.
I hope you don't mind.
I miss your scent so bad.
Why'd you pack up and leave?
I thought you were just kidding.
But boy was I deceived.

You were headed to Boston.
When you knocked on my door.
I opened it thinking it was the mailman.
And I almost fainted onto the floor.
You told me then you were leaving.
Try to find your place out there.
I cried to you begging you not to go.
I told you how it was beyond unfair.

You were headed to Boston.
When you opened your bag.
You find the book I stashed in there.
The old one worn to rags.
It was a book of poems I wrote.
All of them about you.
I wrote them when I was sick.
And I didn't have anything else to do.

You were headed to Boston.
When you turned around and came home.
You knocked on my door again.
And promised you'd never roam.
You held me in your arms.
The warmth so kind and dear
I wish you never left me.
So that way you'd be here.

You where headed to Boston.
When your plane crashed bad.
The news said no survivers.
I called your horrified dad.
"What are we going to do?"
I asked in a complete blank.
"I don't know anymore"
He replied, and his heart sank.

You were headed to Boston.
But now you are no more.
Now I badly miss that day.
When you last knocked on my door.
I wish you never left me.
Trying to find your place out there.
Because now you'll never know,
How much I really care.

This is sooooo amazingly good. I added it to my favorites. Good job. Keep writing! (:
