Or is it burdensome, or it’s like having a deferred income,
Perhaps it's the disturbance of seeing the flower settle
No matter how healthy or elegant it starts to dwindle-
Only I was more gentle…
While I hear the cheering, I stood there contemplating and fearing,
What to come, the future for me and the petal I adore-

This poem is a mimicked version of "The Raven" by Edgar Alan Poe--the meter, rhyme scheme, and syllables are all inspired by Poe's poem. This poem is the story of a flower petal that symbolizes how we only tend to receive the beauty and happiness of the beautiful natural occurring parts of life. Sometimes we know those bad events are about to happen due to our actions beforehand but try to push them away. The more we push away, the worse the situation gets. This is represented by the death of the flower petal.
