May Our Love
If your lips could meet mine,
if we could be set completely ablaze,
if my soul could ignite matches,
and waves of heat flicker around us
Then may our love spontaneously combust.
If this moment could be frozen in time,
if my love could melt your icy heart,
if your sweet touch could warm my cold hands,
and our breaths be seen in the snowy air as we kiss
Then may our love feel like the first frost of the year.
If we can dance in the rain during spring,
and fall into each other's embrace during fall,
if we could swim in each other's eyes in summer,
and our romance snowball in the winter
Then may our love be as fierce as the seasons,
each and every day of the year.

I hope this piece grasps even some of the feelings love can spark, just as my best friend does for me.
