All through time

Fear was a friend of mine.

We hid from large Hands,

And creepy things like fire ants.

Fear was the only one there for me,

Telling me to be careful of things,

Like falling from a tree.

 

But time began to move faster . . .

 

I was being used like a marionette,

So many strings attached,

Told this was my debt.

 

My life. . .

My Innocence. . .

My heart. . .

 

A disaster.

Wishing death would come a little faster.

 

my mind. . .

Going, going . . Gone.

 

It all feels so very wrong.

 

With a silent hand travelling to places I never knew existed,

I felt joy become more distant.

 

He said to my ear,

"It's better this way"

 

I look for comfort in fear. . .

 

Everything will not be okay.

Sometimes the people who we're supposed to look towards for safety aren't always the people we believe them to be. . .
