Pyphoros
As Pyphoros walks, she glances
In the dead darkness of Night
She utterly entrances every creature
With her light.
She fills the heedless, empty void with stunning shards of Day.
And all the foolish humans come much near,
They laugh and play.
Pyphoros writhes in fury, as she does her rageful dance.
The rough, enlivened people come still forward
In their trance.
They gather 'round to sing their joyful, happy song.
Alas, there is something I must tell you -
They won't breathe air for long.
For Pyphoros will slice them up
She will chop them with great care.
Pyphoros is fire, and fire's always there.
