Ripley, a friend
Of Brownie; she lends
Herself to neighbors
Doing all they can to raise her
Until she becomes a fitted Service
Dog; obeying tricks and commands; Ripley got kinda nervous
Around other dogs; yet she’s now calm
Yet, often wild around some
Who she really loves
Some, who pet her; like doves
Ripley’s fur is yellow
Never mellow
Bright eyes gleam
As it seems
Every time I walk towards her
She bounds, motioning for me to pet her fur
I never resist; yet now she’s clawing
At my pants; pawing
For more attention
Ripley, like Brownie, runs
Fast-paced, wild like guns
Running across fields and grass
Her running often lasts
For hours
Ripley’s head often snuggles
Across my lap; her body then struggles
To find the perfect position
And sound her sleepy emission
Of snores
Low, deep snores
Pours
As she stretches; paws extending
Moving as if she were running; never-ending
