And so it goes
And so it goes,
The leaves fall from the trees,
Representations of lives lost throughout the year.
A time of mourning next approaches for some,
But I see beauty and peace,
A place where everything is quiet except for the voices in your head.
Nature doesn’t sleep, it is alive all around us, simply resting
As the soft falling snow blankets the Earth, it cradles those who appreciate
It in its’ whispering grasps.
The cold commiserates my breathing, and asks me to sleep,
Sleep and rest says winter, for I am evanescent, you must awaken.
