What the Pencil Holds
The eraser a pencil of comfort
When navigating those pages
To act solely as a buffer
Between incompatible phrases
But there's more than sentences broken
To what the pencil holds
It's millions of words unspoken
And billions of stories untold
Sometimes the marks are purposely made
To aid in self revelation
The writer lost in the abyss
That is their own contemplation
Like stars other pieces brighten
Masking deep layers to be unfurled
Primarily meant to inspire, enlighten
Or inevitably shock the world
