What Could Have Been
Looking at the stars, we thought to ourselves.
The two of us could have lived different lives
if only we told each other the truth.
But, we were scared and we were liars.
The two of us could have lived different lives
together. But we played those childish games
and never told each other the truth.
It seemed crazy to us then.
Together we played those childish games.
and laughed at that movie we watched,
because it seemed crazy to us then.
Watching it again, it makes sense.
The movie made us laugh,
Especially when they kissed.
When I watched it again, it made sense.
I saw they were made for each other.
When we kissed
I was scared and lied to you.
I said we weren’t made for each other.
Now when I look at the stars, I think to myself.
