Black is...
Black is a groom’s suit, the color of your mother’s jacket and soft as a baby’s blanket
Black is the taste of trying to become your heroes
Black smells like burnt cookies and floral perfume
Black makes me feel myself
Black is the sound of classic rock songs and the fans singing along at the top of their lungs, forgetting their worries
Black is the walls of your home at night, the color of your family pet and the doors to your own personal heaven
Black is the sea of mourners in a church, laughing at the memories of a loved one
Black is the color your soul mate is wearing when you meet them, the night you dance until dawn
Black is the sky on the night everything went right.
