Hidden stories
Little girl is hiding in the bushes
I heard a story never is forgotten
Won’t you tell yours, little girl
To tell the truth neither will I
Little girl with little tears
Will you stay in those green leaves?
Hiding a tale for which no one knows
Just know that you can’t hide forever
So, I will tell your story for you
It’s not a happy one but it won’t leave you
Heard of all the things around you that are not seen
Little girl that is me
I saw your family when they left you
A mother that never cries
A father that doesn’t want to change
Siblings that you imagined
I saw you there holding your teddy bear
I heard you when you ran and cried
I saw the embers of your house
I was there when you disappeared
No help is what I was
I’m sometimes sorry on the inside
No regrets are what I have
In the end I guess the little girl was never there
