I am poem
I am an Airplane
I travel over land and sea
I make the noise of a loud engine, Vroom!
I allow my passenger to see cityscapes and trees
I want my passenger to ride free from distractions
I am an Airplane
I am Luis
I pretend I am a superhero while on an airplane
I feel so free
I touch my carry-on and the window
I worry if I will get the window seat
I cry when I read a sad book on my Amazon Kindle
I am Luis
I am Luis
I land in muck when I fail a test
I showed gumption when I let my sister and her friends play my Wii
I understand I’ll never be the best
I dream of going to Hawaii
I try to get really good grades
I hope I will never change
I am Luis
I am an Airplane
My journey is scary and far
My rider will never cry
My rider will need a hammer, wrench, and saw
My journey ends at the end of July
I am an Airplane
