Sestina for Revoluton
Heat bore from the waking sun’s rise
That bid the deir night, and with
The break of dawn the light has shone on me.
Such light and warmth to bear fire in me
That calls to me “Rise!”
An inflamed spirit urk me and with
Such flame, that kindle others with
The flame of revolution: those who are but the same as me.
So then with the break of dawn i rise
And i bid you all, with the waking sun, rise with me!

this piece was inspired by my first viewing of a sestina style poem and i thought it would be nice to try it. i have always been inspired by revolution and strong truths so its only natural for me to write about something like this.
