Mother I Love You
Mother I love you with all of my heart,
You have been there for me from the start,
You have watched rise high and fall low,
But were always waiting for me to let go,
To let go from my new wants and worries,
Waiting for me to blossom like a flurry.
Mother I love you with all of my heart.
So far you have beautifully done your part,
Everyday I wait to see your smiling face,
Never to see it faltering, always in the same place,
Your attitude makes me happy beyond belief,
Mother I love you
Blood is not what makes us family
Our love and faithfulness makes us free
Everyone has a part
Yours is the base the tree
You have the whole heart
You have the branches that make us,
You stretch us out and we are free,
But still under your control.
Mother I love you
You make us whole,
Without you we are defenseless
Without you we are no longer in control.
You help us with nightmares with your soft caress
You are kind
I am proud to call you mine,
I hope we are forever entwined
