Letting Go

I am letting go.
No need to worry
about these things I cannot control.
Why did it get to me so?
All in a hurry,
giving no chance for anyone to console.

Dependent on my self.
What took so long to realize
I cannot do it on my own.
Beyond the self,
Finding there is more to these outcries
From my inward moan.

What was wrong?
I could not place it
while my world remained a strewn.
Becoming strong.
Finding I could face it
when the world would not sing my tune.

Discounted my pain.
What was it compared to their own?
All in vain.
Our friendship would postpone.

Who could understand?
After all I had been through.
The One, right by me, would stand,
No one other than You.

It amazes me to see,
how my broken life has changed.
Filled with glee,
showing others my life, rearranged.

No longer gloomy today's,
Or apprehensive 'morrow's.
Living to praise
The One who relieves my sorrows.

No need to hold tight to the questions of the future with eternity in sight,
I am letting go, giving it up, leaning on You, my Confidant, my Light.

Life is hard, and it takes a lot to make it through. Recent life events have changed my perspective, I hope to share the love of what I have learned. :)

You are really good. I've read all of your work and every bit of it captures my interest and hits my heart in a way that is undescribeable. You are an amazing poet and I'm glad you submit your work for everyone to see it. My favorite verse of this poem is "No longer gloomy today's/Or apprehensive 'morrow's/Living to praise/The One who relieves my sorrows." You are charished by your fans and I can say I am one of them. :) Good job.
