Angels
Mama, why do the angels sing?
They're expressing their joy for the newborn king
Mama, why is that star so bright?
To show the way in the middle of night
Mama, why were the shepherds afraid?
They were awed by the glory the angels sang
Mama, why did the wise-men bring many gifts?
To give thanks to the one who already gives
Mama, why did Herod hate him so?
He thought that Jesus would take his throne
Mama, why did he die for my sin?
So we can never be separated again
Mama, why does God love me so much?
We are his children, formed by his touch.
