A Sister and More
Not only is she my sister, but my best friend, indeed.
The true, one of a kind friend who helps when in need.
The kind who wipes away your tears,
Takes away your fears.
The kind who makes you laugh.
She's my other half.
Nothing can come between.
We're both addicted to caffeine.
So different, yet so alike.
All you others can take a hike.
Athletic teen,
To crafty machine.
So different, yet so alike.
All you others can take a hike.
I'd say she's simply beautiful
He'd say she's simply irresistible.
I hope this simple poem can explain
How she takes away the pain
Inflicted upon me
By the dramatized scenes
And the stress from school
Because all the girls think
they're so cool.
She understands,
While everyone else thinks they're giving a helping hand.
When really they're only inflicting more pain,
Breaking the chain,
Which we once mended together
With the start of a friendship
that will now last forever.
So different, yet so alike.
All you others can take a hike.
