Favorite Quote:
"I write to ease the passing of time."
Jorge Luis Borges

As we teeter on our toes
And we try to capture the essence
We realized how we are just
A faint scent, a reminiscence

We carry ourselves with such pride
And pompous dignity
While treading on others' backs
We forget our non-universality

At the end, we come to terms
With the horror of being man
So many tears, blood and neglect
Wasting the gift of a thinking head

I'm not sure about the 2nd stanza, since I'm generalizingn "we" and that being proud is bad. I appreciate any constructive criticism!
