Why do we strive to be like others
When we can just be ourselves
Why do we love like that
When we can do so much better
Why should we even try to bother
For a spot on the high shelves
When we strike out at bat
or we're enemies with her
We try hard for peoples approval
we try out of self pity
We really want to fit in
thats really why we try
