A Lamps Tale
I watch them
As they come to play
And smoke and drink away their tears
I see it all
Here where I sit
I am the one no one hears
The bar tender
Talks jovially
Speaking of the days of old
The business man
Is in a stupor
His love lost for want of gold
Day by day
Year by year
The place, it doesn't change that much
I am the lamp
Upon the wall
I never talk but I see much
