I see through you
I see through you
Lost in your eyes
I catch your soul wondering
in a brief second
our eyes meet
and my heart erupts in a peculiar rhythm
I gasp for air but in that split second
I loose the grip and your eyes wonder off
I see through you
walking down the hall
with the strangers you call your friends
singing a song so unfamiliar
but yet a distinctive cry for help
my heart races because I was once a victim
I catch your eyes
but again they wonder off
I see through you
your distant passion
that is hidden to those who don't know you
but most apparent to those who know
it cries a distinct cry for help
and yet again I hold my breath
and my heart skips a beat
I catch your eyes
and then your eyes wander off
I see through you
a heartfelt soul but an empty lust for love
a playful heart but in desperate need for love
a hurt and tattered soul but a victim of love
a passionate lover but an enemy of love
I catch your eyes
but you look away
because I see through you
