forgotten moments
branches are blown
leaves strewn
and later the same tempest
moves the sea
mountains sculpted with care
same wind
that left the desert bare
the blackened hills
are slowly marching
the river runs
so far away
the innards of the earth
are spewing forth
our distracted eye
catches but a glimpse
all the more beautiful
because it's unknown
what one has seen
and cannot share
will be their own
