My Existence
Splash, Splash, Drop
The undertones of my existence
Splash
Conforming to the daily events
That I wish not to indulge
Bright beams penetrate
I'm drving over the speed limit
Reminds me of my life
Splash
Dew on the windowsill
It does not worry that I woke up late
I do not worry either
Crisp, cool air settles in my lungs
Desperation, wanting, and sins
These ideas rattle in my mind
like the discs on the tambourine
But they quickly leave as I exhale
Drop
Nature is my medicine
The shakes, dilusion, and stress
All dissipated from one still moment
One windy morning
One rainy day
One blooming flower
One chirping bird
I only need that one still moment
Drops me back to the state of being
That I long to reach each day
Where I belong
Splash,Splash,Drop
