Floating on top of your rules and anger
you beat against my frame.
To this I am no stranger;
There is no give or take.
Backstroke, Backstroke, Backstroke
Your aggression grows.
I start to choke
on the crashing waves.
There is no escape
from the yelling, growling, screaming.
Sinking, Sinking, Sinking
What was I really thinking
thinking that you wouldn’t let me down?
Drown, drown, drown.
quick and panicked gasps
tightening your grasp
no freedom to be found.
