Five minutes
If I could have five minutes,
Just five minutes,
To see you again,
I'd cry, I'd smile, I'd laugh,
I'd beg for your forgiveness.
I'd remember the good times and bad;
The ugly and beautiful, happy and sad.
I hope you remember me fondly
I always loved you with all of my heart,
I simply overlooked,
I was scared and confused.
I'm so grateful to have known you,
I wish I could have longer,
There has to be a reason.

A poem about loss through death and how different it is than any other. I wrote it after the death of my uncle.
