Hope means looking in the mirror hating what you see
Yet knowing that you will change
No matter how far away it seems
Hope shall alter envy into action

Hope recognizes the beauty in every storm.
The valor in every action
The peace in every war
Hope is omnipresent
Available to those who seek

It’s hope that propels the depressed out of bed
Even if only for a second
Even if only to sigh and lie down once more
Only to try again the next day

Hope separates razor from wrist
Beckoning you to see the good in the bad
Begging you to rethink if only for the day
Because hope has so much in store for you
Only if you allow it to.

Hope laces up your shoes in the morning
Telling you today will be better
Even if you don’t believe it
Hope is always there

Hope dispels all hatred
Replacing it with goodwill
And perseverance
Even in the worst of times

Hope helps today's lazy become tomorrow’s industrious
Today’s depressed become tomorrow’s radiant
And today’s citizens become tomorrow’s leaders

Hope doesn’t mean absence of problems
Hope means  aspiring to solve them
Rather than to lather in its futility
Because every issue has a resolution
