Big Fish
Drifting, rocking in the waves,
scuba diving down in the Pacific ocean
chills scurried up my spine,
as I see a creature heading my way.
What could it be,
A turtle? A fish?
I had no clue,
but I could feel it in my gut that was not the case,
I was less than 10 feet away from my worst nightmare.
“A SHARK!”
the light grayish creature
the sharpest teeth on the planet
is coming my way
As those words rush through my mind,
my mind going berserk,
I couldn’t think straight,
thoughts scattered through my brain.
Frozen in the moment,
I couldn’t bare to move a muscle,
but nothing happened.
The shark was less than 5 feet away.
My heart frantically beating,
Not able to,
breathe.
I feel like sprinting to the boat,
yet I feel as if I’m a tiger,
in a cage wanting to get out,
I felt trapped.
If I swam to the boat
would I be able to beat the shark?
Or would he get me?
Would he eat me like he hasn’t eaten in months?
There I stay,
motionless.
The boat is less than a yard away.
I couldn’t wait to touch land,
again.
