Baby sleeps while sibling cries.
Sleeps her way to the next day.
Never got attention, never needed it.
A figure would come in and pick her up
and take her outside to play.
While her brother got all attention,
the figure put her to sleep if she was tired,
bathe her if she need a wash, feed her if she was hungry.

Now baby has grown and
the figure passed away.
Leaving the girl her own.
Trying to find way in life, makes decision would
make figure proud.
Being guidance counselor, girl alway look at picture of figure
and ask what to do.

The figure was guidance counselor, hero, guardian.
Always sitting behind her and giving a push for confidence.
The one always realized and understood her.
The figure was her grandfather.
