My life is important, a story that's new
Unknown to many, familiar to few

My life is a voice, certain but true
A curtain of moments, forever in view

A past and a future, forever displayed
Decisions turned, in how I am made

A life full of weakness, spirit, or truth
A footing of honor, founded in youth

Stories of lifeblood, honor, and shame
Created in moments, still to tame

Whether ill-gotten or weak. Your path is made right
A light shining firmly, strong through the night

It will show in your face if you're good or ill
Your future forever is held in your will

It will show in your face, because YOUR LIGHT is true

I had the words running through my head, so I ran to the computer and tried to get most of them out. :D

I like this poem! Like, I really, really enjoyed reading it! The first few stanzas definitely hooked me, and then I just cruised through the rest of your beautiful imagery and voice. I especially was pleasantly surprised that the rhyme didn't feel forced (except maybe slightly with shame and tame), which can be a very difficult feel to create. Overall, lovely poem!
