Bring me a sunset in a cup
the reflection on the top of the sea
the blue ocean before night and moon
Make it deep red like
blood, when your heart breaks
Red like roses which are the best flowers
he says, and they tell you his voice sounds like
fruit
apples and oranges and cherries

The sun is a red grape
you put on a sundae and drink it up
it melts vanilla
and chocolate
You say have my heart
the cold that makes it break
don’t hold till your fingers turn white
or until they shake.

things you want
flowers, the scent of flowers.
