a call from the sky
he lay on the grass
staring at the sky
the sky stared back
with its one eye
the sun opened up
into the boys soul
filling him with light
its pale look, like a ghoul
the suns peace
and tranquility
kissing his sullen face
for he awoke
and he heard a call
a cool of urgence
or remembrence
and sorrow
from the spirit
of the one
who was taken
who was gone
whisked away
in a strong wind
left him empty
nothing inside
hallow
shell of nothing
but she reached out
reached for him
with a gentle touch
that woke him
remembered him
he remembered
her
