Blazes Of Fiery
In Response to The Great Fire by Jim Murphy
Wild, dancing flames stretching as far as the eye can see
Steam engines rushing to the blazing fire
Panic-stricken people endeavoring to get to safety
Bright orange glow coming from the fire
Roaring flames
The loud, terrified screaming of people
Fire marshals’ brass speaking trumpets
How many people did the fire kill?
Shouldn’t the people of Chicago have been more prepared for such things?
Fear
Nervousness
Sorrow
