Poetry
Poetry, poetry
Sometimes it just comes
To me
A faint shout that
Resides within my soul
An unconscious effort
Of a journey untold
My heart’s desires
Fantastical dreams
My outlet for this is my
Poetry, poetry
Why doesn’t it just come to me
I had it memorized
My pen and paper
Far from reach
Now the poem is gone
I beseech for it
To return
To my mind
It is gone, just gone you see
And will never sound the
Same
To me
Though you’re wondering
Why a writer lacked
Her pen
I do not know
It won’t happen again
