Something Sweet
I met you in an ice cream store.
Your face looked cold, that wasn’t true,
I dropped my cone, I mopped the floor.
I slipped my number, thought you knew
under the dime but I was late,
in love with you or is that glue?
I asked you on an ice cream date,
but you were helping others choose,
my favorite flavor, longest wait.
Super creamy and extra smooth,
an ice cream goddess head to toe.
When I just figured I would lose,
you asked me where I’d like to go.
“Paris, Florence would be a treat!
We’ll steal the ice cream from the snow!”
Despite longing for something sweet,
I was then aroused from my sleep.
