Grime and sweat of our days events
Cling to our skin like everlasting hints
Now it's time to end this day
With our last and final play

Waiting for the signal to go
Sounds with a trumpets blow
Tossing swimming in and out
While trumpets, euphs, and mellos shout

We dance, we swing, we march, we beat
To the music we've known to repeat
Wishing this moment will last for life
Knowing nothing comes without a price

I wrote this after my first year with Music City Drum and Bugle corps. I hope you can feel the dedication, hard work, and love for the other members and performing through this poem.
