Just a word

Just a word,
That's all love is.
A vision, just out of sight.
An illusion that can't be understood,
A matter of perception.
A stimulant for the deprived,
A distraction for the ignorant,
A pacifier for the weak.
So who is anyone to say no to love?
A warmonger? A robot?
Yet a life starts from love.
But how many can be lost?
Is it just a word,
Or something worse?
For when the only way to feel love is to be betrayed by it,
People won't accept it.
So, we believe a lie.
And that's all love is.
