"There are all kinds of courage. It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends." - Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Everything I do, I do for your emotion
I don't hear a word you say
Everywhere I fall, I go for your reaction
Grab a shirt and roll this way

Stillborn is my sleep and cold are the mornings
Can you read the fine print now?
Weeds in your eye and weakness in your warnings,
Just smoke over the why and how

Dust in our hair and blood on our taste buds
Vocal cords stretched to tears
Love in little cuts all burning from the soap suds
Shift into a higher gear

Everything I do, I do for your emotion
I can't hear a word you say
Everywhere I fall, I go with blurred intentions
Won't you throw two cents my way?

"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." -Mark Twain

The perfect title, and exquisite writing. The third stanza is just something else; it's one of those things where you can read and re-read and re-read it forever and still find something new to understand in it every time.
