To My Dad
We were so close when I was a kid,
I got older, you got meaner.
Now you are dying right before my eyes and I try to stay away.
I can't take this pain and this guilt.
You are so sick, Colon Cancer, to be exact and I'm not there.
I'll be there to see you, you will get better, you will beat this, you are a survivor.
I love you and so does everyone else, don't be scared, you're not alone.
We are all right here and we will help you recover.
Just remember, you have us all and we love you.
