There are words written on the wall
I used to know them, I wrote them all
Now I don't know what they say
They don't mean a thing anyway

They're just scribbles written in the past
I never thought that they would last
I never thought that they would hurt
Every time I looked at those words

I know I wrote them for a reason
In a different day, a different season
But I can't remember just what for
Those written words were written for

To love and cherish, probably
But now they sit so uselessly

What inspired this was Facebook. Back before they it changed to a "timeline," the profiles used to be "walls." So it was always meant to be this idea of scrolling down the wall to see what things I used to post, remind myself of what was going on. Thank you very much!

I like this, its a really good piece, looking at the past and why we wrote or said things. Its quite clever.
