A Place in my Mind
There is a place I have in mind,
A street that has no cars.
There there are no people.
The wind acts as custodian.
Accompanied by the wind,
there always is a leaf.
It tumbles about the street,
and tells a sad story.
The scene is always dark,
except for a small bench.
There there is a streetlight there,
which ominously glows
I sit and wait at the bench,
hoping for a certain someone.
One day we will meet,
and stay awhile together
There we will embrace,
and remember those days together.
Then things will be,
how they should be-
once again.
