Just as nature perseveres, even to music of strife,
like a tree standing tall under the wrath of a storm,
I too will dance to the rhythm of life.

Single blades of grass make up fields so rife,
that endure unwanted weeds and prickling thorn.
I too will dance to the rhythm of life.

A boulder does not succumb to a river’s torrent twice,
although its stone skin becomes chafed and worn.
I too will dance to the rhythm of life.

A seed multiplies into fruits juicy and ripe,
that, to pests and to cruel weather, must conform.
I too will dance to the rhythm of life.

For fauna to survive, flora must pay the price,
and from creatures of the three biomes, offspring are born.
I too will dance to the rhythm of life.

In times of struggle, I must retain a countenance blithe,
for indifference or surrender will not suffice.
Just as nature perseveres, even to music of strife,
I too will dance to the rhythm of life.
