Sitting under the stars
in complete tranquility
with no memory of
yesterdays hardships.
When your siblings cried
and asked why, and your
parents knees hit the floor
because you were no more
When the world paused
for the lost cause
with a moment of silence
after all the violence
you were there that day
when the planes came your way.
As they hit the towers
we lost our power.
We'll always remember
that day in September
when you left us, in
complete tranquility!
