Predator or Prey
Calculating eyes following his every movement
The jerk of his hand to the smile upon his lips
She smirked at his slouched figure
Marveled at his large hazel eyes
The fantasy of her lips brushing his
Craving the warmth of his fingertips
His hands running through her messy hair
She noticed his attention had turned to her
Casting her heavy-lidded eyes downward
He could never know what she felt
The searing sensation brimming in her chest
He could never understand the pain she went through
Seeing him everyday, but never making any effort to get closer
It was for her own sake, she told herself
But it was impossible for her to believe the lies spewing from her lips
With her cold blue eyes she willed that he could read her mind
Just see what it was like, being the helpless prey
Eyeing its predator with furtive glances
Hoping it never caught her gaze
She looked upwards to see if he had still been watching her
His hazel eyes met hers
Frozen, she made up her mind
Today she would be the predator
And he the prey
