The Violinist
I met a violinist
Coming down the road.
She was so surprised
To see my similar load.
Her case was in her hand,
Mine strapped across my back.
Both shone from the sun,
and were a rich, coal-black.
Her shirt screamed,
"Culler Cougars!"
Mine dressed in
'Mickle Blue.'
But we both smiled,
and simply said:
"You, too?"
For though our schools were rivals,
And we were different as can be,
We both had something in common:
We were both music lovers, you see.
