Beautiful
April 23, 2012
Before their critical eyes she cowers
Expecting the worst of their judgements
Always afraid of the looks, the whispers
Under their gaze she worries and frets
The nervous thoughts race through her head
In her mind she is nothing
For the mirror tells the ugly truth
Underneath the scars lies a hidden soul
Lonely and scared, yet she is beautiful

this is so true!! way too many girls are insecure and think they're ugly when they're gorgeous!! you did a great job ending that message through you're poem. it's sad that girls don't embrace their beauty. all you can do is tell them the "beautiful" truth and hope that they will someday believe it!
