Light to Black to Light
Falling, fading,
The reflection just not there
Loving, hating,
A broken mirror, glass everywhere
Last breath, dying,
I can't see myself at all
Seeing this light,
Wondering why I fall
Clearly growing dimmer,
It now fades away
The dark blackens out
The light of this day
The dark lingers,
Ever waiting for demise
Blotting out a sliver
Of hope which started to rise
Eventually consumed,
Driven out by force
A brighter light arrives
From a different source
As long as that light
Burns forevermore
I'll remember exactly
What I live and fight for
